Take at Least One Step Forward Every Day!

 

One Good Step a DayYou don’t get a choice about whether you’re going to build a life or create a life. I don’t either. If I breathe another 365 days, I will have created another year of my life.

 

The only choice I get is whether it’s out of design – something I’d love to create – or if it’s out of default because I just keep running the same patterns and thinking the same thoughts – and my life will pretty much look the same way. 

 

As humans, we are the highest evolution of life on this planet. We get to set goals. But many of us don’t take the time to really set those goals.

 

There was a woman named Mary Kay Ash. You may have heard of her. She was an entrepreneur and she started a business at a time when nobody believed she could do it.

 

Just at the point where she was ready to invest, her banker called and told her to get out as fast as she could or she would lose her money. This would never work. Mary Kay chose to believe in her own belief and her own goal more than her financial advisor.

 

Well guess what!  Mary Kay had a practice.  She had big goals and then she set daily small goals to achieve. It helped her move towards her big goals.

 

Her practice became so well known that Harvard Business School declared her to be one of the most successful business people innovators in all of the 20th Century.

 

So what was her practice? She had some big goals. And then every day she would write six small goals that she could achieve towards her big goals.

 

And then she would tackle the hardest ones first. Whatever it was, she would go to work on the first goal and try to make sure there were no distractions, and at least make one good step a day in the direction of her goals.

 

So work on your big goals first. What is it you want to accomplish in your life and your business? Are you looking to make a 7-figure income, rank advance to the top rank? Maybe you want to get rid of your job so you can have time with your family. Set your big life goals first.

 

And then, add to that, “What’s one step I can take in the direction of my most compelling goal?”

 

What’s your most compelling goal? What one step could you take today – even if it is to look it up on the Internet or do a little research – there’s some step you can take. Do that every day!

 

You will become one of the most successful people in the world, and in your business, and in your own life. And you won’t need Harvard Business School to tell you that. You’ll know deep inside of you.
