It’s One of the Most Important Activities You can Do!
Attending events can make such a difference in your business –from helping you to grow your business faster, to inspiring you, helping you gain more knowledge, and even helping you progress up through the ranks of your pay plan.
Events really are critical to your continued success.
… but one of the most IMPORTANT activities you can do at an event is just have FUN!
Think about this –
Why are you in the business in the first place? Is it just for the money? Many people may start out this way but very soon you realize it is much more than that. It’s about helping people achieve their dreams and have a better life. It’s about having fun and meeting new friends. It’s about family and building stronger relationships.
One of the things you can do is make sure that when you are at an event, that it’s not all about “Business”. Have some fun! Let your hair down and smile. Make sure you attend the outside fun events or organize an event with your team.
Here are a few ideas of fun activities you can do and organize at your events:
• Rent a limo for an hour and take team members to a special place for dinner. Have everyone chip in for the costs and everyone pays for their own dinner. This can be a lot of fun and very affordable. It also shows your team members what it feels like to be treated like royalty!
• Rent a luxury room at the event hotel and hold a team break-out session. These can be a lot of fun! Provide some light snacks and have a guest speaker to say a few words. Have some rewards and team recognition.
• Organize a special dinner at a fun restaurant. Make sure everyone knows they pay for their own meal. Have some team recognition or a special guest speaker to say a few words.
• Have everyone come in a day early or stay a day late and organize some fun activities like horse-back riding, surfing lessons, hanging out at the beach, sail boating, etc.
These are just a few ideas…I’m sure you can be creative and think of more.
Just remember the idea is to have fun!
One of the best things that will happen as you are having fun is you will build close bonds with your team members, learn from those around, and just build a stronger business.
Events are important…just make sure you plan some time to have fun!
